Art is a beautiful way to communicate information, messages, feelings, and emotions from the soul. At Minot Mist, we offer a variety of artistic outlets with the intention of giving space for our members to express whatever needs to surface. We will always offer a specific description for any class or workshop, but explore below some of the potential options:
Mandala Making: Creating mandalas is a wonderful Mind, Body, Spirit meditation. We can use our mind to choose the shapes, angles and repeaters; your body performs the actual physical act of drawing and coloring; and your spirit connects to the energies of Sacred Geometry and mandalas while entering a quiet and calm meditative state. Mandalas are a beautiful form of intuitive creativity and design. One can enter into an altered state of consciousness by letting go of the thinking, planning, & designing, and instead experience the intuitive side of creating. If one can come from a place of openness and allowance, then the unexpected beauty of the process and the final product can feel transformative. Creating a mandala and viewing a mandala are both sacred forms of personal meditation.
Grief Therapy: Taking a photograph of a loved one and adding color and quotes with personal artistic expression is a beautiful way of celebrating a person or relationship. Creating art with the memory of a loved one allows you to channel and work through difficult emotions while also creating a beautiful memorial for you to display at home.
